What services does the Centre provide?
We develop made-to-measure support plans specifically designed to help agencies and communities achieve their goals and deliver stronger, more engaged and better connected mental health services for children, youth and families. We work with service areas to determine what services they might need and how to deliver them in the best possible way. It’s not a one-size-fits-all approach, and that’s what makes us unique. It’s more like a mix-and-match menu of options that builds on strength and maximizes every opportunity for improvement.

Who delivers Centre services?
Our customized, team-based approach means service area plans are carefully matched with the Centre resource that best meets their needs. Our team of knowledge brokers are the first and constant point of contact with a service area and they provide general supports on an ongoing basis, and they have some serious bench strength to back them up. When faced with a complex challenge, it’s all hands on deck. Our support plans draw on the expertise of quality improvement specialists, expert coaches and youth and families to deliver made-to-measure service.
Who can access Centre services?
The Centre is funded by the Ontario Ministry of Children and Youth Services and our supports are designed to capitalize on the momentum of the Moving on Mental Health initiative – transforming child and youth mental health services at the community level. We develop an annual partnership agreement with lead agencies in each of Ontario’s service areas and it’s tailored to support the goals they have collaboratively set with other service agencies in their communities. Those priorities can be narrow (one agency), collaborative (several agencies) or broad (whole community). In any case, we’re here to help.
Our growing collection of resources is available to everyone.
How much do Centre services cost? Our services are free of charge, but transformational change always requires a significant investment of time, dedication and some financial resources. We’re committed to reducing the barriers that can derail the best-laid plans and we trust our partners will do the same.
