Focus on the Facts Focus on the facts provides young people with information about psychotropic medications – including what they are and why people take them. It contains details about side effects, tips on taking the medications, and other helpful resources.
 
Medications and Youth Medications and youth is a fact sheet for parents and caregivers of young people who are taking psychotropic medications. In addition to providing general information about psychotropics, this fact sheet explains what to watch for and how best to help youth who use these medicines as part of a treatment plan.
 
My Meds, My Rights My meds, my rights is a brochure for young people about their legal rights related to taking psychotropic medications. This brochure includes answers to commonly asked questions, along with details on where to find more information.

 

These tools were developed by researchers at Dalhousie University (Drs. David Gardner, Stan Kutcher and Andrea Murphy) in collaboration with young people and caregivers.
