Data sharing agreements

A data sharing agreement is a contract between parties, such as two agencies, that agree to share data. In Ontario’s child and youth mental health sector, the data shared involves personal health information and is governed by the Personal Health Information and Protection Act (PHIPA). Data sharing agreements ensure that the information shared is confidential and secure.
