The links below will help you find evidence-informed programs that may fill a need at your organization. These resources are searchable databases of programs that have evidence to support their use. In most cases, the quality of evidence for a specific program is assessed and explained.

The links below will allow you to search for evidence-informed practice guidelines on a wide variety of health-related topics.

3. Resources for preparing a literature review

The links below will help you find existing literature reviews and individual research studies. These could assist you in preparing your own literature review.

  • The Cochrane Library
    Systematic reviews on health topics.
  • The Campbell Collaboration
    Systematic reviews in education, crime and justice, social welfare.
  • Pub Med
    Provides links to the biomedical literature.
  • Google Scholar
    A google powered search engine that links to academic resources and literature
  • Health Evidence
    Provides access to quality-rated systematic reviews evaluating the effectiveness of public health interventions

    Search the Centre’s database of measures related to child and youth mental health for use in client assessment and in program evaluation.

    View past webinars the Centre has offered on topics related to evaluation.
  • Canadian Evaluation Society
    The Canadian Evaluation Society provides a searchable database of evaluation resources in the grey literature
  • American Evaluation Association
    The American Evaluation Association provides a number of online resources related to evaluation.
